Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to the IoD Lunch for the Humber Region and for a rare occasion exchange the trackie bottoms for a suit (it felt very strange).
After some good conversation and some food we settled in to hear Sally Gunnell give a detailed and motivational account of what it takes to be a Commonwealth, European and Olympic champion. Hearing about little inside conversations with Linford Christie and competitive encounters with Sandra Farmer Patrick really brought the discussion to life and created a clear link between sport and business.
A big thanks to Sally, the KC and of course Streets Accountants for inviting me. Sorry I had to dash off to a session!
